Olympic season starts; Utah classes now

Postby George » Sun Oct 11, 2009 4:11 pm

Skeleton/bobsled tracks around the world are starting to open. Considering it's the Olympic quadrennial season, I can sense the building interest and pressure surrounding the athletes. Track sliding time is at a premium this year, which is why I guess Lake Placid NY opened so early and why Utah scheduled its skeleton driving classes (for approved development athletes) so early this year. I just noticed this year's driving classes start next week.

George,

You planning on make it out to anything this year?

Damon,

Hope you'll have a chance to do some sliding.

Nope, nothing for me this season. Though I'm "retired," there's a slight chance I'll visit Utah Olympic Park for a week in January, 2011 if there's a skeleton camp + Utah Winter Games race then.
